About Lotte Arai
After being closed for 10 years, Lotte Arai reopened and renewed in 2017 as a fresh, luxurious ski resort just outside of Myoko region. The now multi-award winning resort boasts a massive average annual snowfall of 15 metres annually!
Powder hounds will have a field day in the 10 Avalanche Controlled Areas. If you're not quite at powder hound level, there are 14 ski courses available ranging from kids ski school to private expert lessons, with English speaking instructors.
Off the slopes you can relax at the Onsen, spa and pool, or lounge bars, or if your still seeking adventure try the Zip Line, Tubing, or have a go at the indoor rock climbing and trampoline park.
Accommodation
Lotte Arai Resort is the only lodging at the ski resort, giving the feel of exclusivity. This 5 star resort offers ski-in/ski-out lodging, Onsen, indoor & outdoor pools, spa, numerous restaurants & bars - including a karaoke bar!
How to get there
Fly
The best airport to access Lotte Arai is either Narita (NRT) or Haneda (HND) in Tokyo. Firect flights are available from Sydney to Haneda, and direct flights from Brisbane and Melbourne go to Narita. Flight time to Tokyo is approximately 10 hours.
The city of Tokyo makes a great stopover destination; it's a place full of culture and history while still offering an unlimited amount of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. We recommend 3 days to enjoy all this city has to offer.

Transfer
Catch the train from Tokyo city, Haneda or Narita airports to Joetsu Myoko. Free shuttle buses run from Joetsu Myoko Station to Lotte Arai Resort approximately every 2 hours. If you prefer, taxi services are available.
Alternatively, a shuttle transfer can be arranged, drive time is approximately 4h 30mins. Talk to our team to organise!
