About Sun Peaks
Sun Peaks is the second largest ski area in Canada and has an abundance of sunshine between regular dry snowfalls. Sun Peaks is a charming, ski-in/ski-out village with three mountain peaks featuring a variety of terrain, including two alpine bowls, cruising green and blue runs, steep and deep and gladed stashes loaded with powder. This resort really does have something for everyone.
Sun Peaks is renowned for being a family friendly destination and has a number of activities to cater to the young (or young at heart) including dogsledding, tubing, snowmobiling, ice skating and sleigh rides, just to name a few.
The Orient Chair, built in the East Village area of the resort allows for significantly improved guest access to the main village core along with existing ski terrain.
Accommodation
Accommodation options for Sun Peak are located in the charming ski-through village. Prices are quite affordable and a large portion of the properties are ski-in/ski-out. There is a village shuttle for those staying in condos away from the village area.
Accommodation for peak season (Christmas – end of January) books out far in advance, we’d recommend booking in accommodation 6 months prior to departure.

How to get there
Fly
The closest airport is Kamloops. When flying from Australia one stopover is required, the fastest route is to Vancouver (YVR) and then onto Kamloops (YKA). Flight time is approximately 14 hours to Vancouver and 50 minutes from Vancouver to Kamloops. Vancouver makes a great stopover, we love spending a couple of days exploring the city before heading to the slopes.
