How to get there
Fly
Flying to Falls Creek is easier than ever before and an option that provides the greatest convenience when visiting from capital cities around Australia. Combining a direct flight to Albury with a connecting service to Falls Creek can bring travel time from Sydney or Melbourne to less than 3½ hours.
From Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra, daily services fly into Albury. From there Falls Creek is a short 2 hour drive. Car hire, shuttle and private transfer options are available.
Another option is to fly into Melbourne Tullamarine International Airport and drive 4hr 30 min from there.

Drive
Falls Creek is the closest alpine resort to Albury, an easy day’s drive from Sydney & four and a half hours drive from Melbourne. Falls Creek offers on-mountain car parking for both day trips and longer stays. The cost for parking is covered with the purchase of a resort entry permit, required for all vehcles entering the resort.
During the snow season it is a legal requirement that all vehicles entering the resort carry snow chains. This includes AWD and 4WD vehicles and applies from the season opening on June 11 through to the last day of the season on October 2.
Please note that there are no petrol stations at Falls Creek, it's recommended you top up at the nearby town of Mt Beauty.
