Corvara
Corvara is located in a favourable and sunny spot in the middle of the Dolomite skiing area on the Sellaronda, at the foot of the Sassongher mountain, situated at 1,568 m above sea level. The first ski school of the valley was founded in Corvara in the 1930s and also the first chair lift of Italy way built here in 1946. Nowadays Corvara is the undisputed tourist centre in Alta Badia and, with its modern accommodation and entertainment facilities, it is one of the most popular holiday destinations in the Alpine region.
Colfosco
What makes Colfosco into a particularly attractive holiday destination is on the one hand the imposing mountains of the Dolomites, which surround it and on the other hand its excellent central location on the Sellaronda. Situated at 1,645 m above sea level on the edge of the Puez-Odle Nature Park, Colfosco is a favourite holiday destination for families, who above all love the sunny Edelweiss Valley (Val Stella Alpina). It is also the ideal starting point for the panoramic Sellaronda ski circuit.
La Villa
La Villa lies at an elevation of 1,433 m above sea level and is a popular holiday destination for genuine lovers of nature and active holidaymakers. Every December the men’s Alpine Ski World Cup takes place in La Villa on the Gran Risa piste. Perfect for all skiers is the access provided by the Piz La Ila cable car to the plateau between La Villa, San Cassiano and Corvara.
San Cassiano
At the foot of the Dolomite peaks of Lavarela and Conturines, at 1,537 m above sea level, lies the charming little mountain village of San Cassiano. Along with a plethora of convivial and elegant restaurants, the village with its pedestrian area attracts an international clientele and offers a wide choice of accommodation, as well as cafés, bars, restaurants and shopping opportunities. Among the special highlights in San Cassiano there is the Foram toboggan run, the downhill ski run from Lagazuoi to San Cassiano -Saré and the cross-country area Alta Badia.
Badia
Badia, situated at 1,324 m above sea level, is a quiet spot which has kept its rustic character. Several well-preserved Ladin hamlets have made Badia a real gem of traditional Alpine rural architecture and Ladin customs and traditions are especially cherished and preserved here. The ski runs of the Ski Tour La Crusc are particular favourites for a family skiing trip and for longer ski outings to take in the beautiful scenery and the traditional cuisine. The two combining lifts will bring you back to the Alta Badia ski carousel in just a few minutes.
La Val
If you are looking for peace, nature and picture-perfect landscapes, then La Val is the right place for you: 30 km of winter hiking trails and 74 km of snowshoe routes run through idyllic Dolomite landscapes. Above the village there is the Armentara cross-country skiing area as well as numerous toboggan runs. In La Val there are no ski lifts, but the village is centrally located for reaching the two largest ski areas in South Tyrol. A ski bus connects it to the Alta Badia skiing area while the Plan de Corones skiing area is only a short drive away.
