The Hakuba Brownie Cottages or cabins as some like to refer to them are free standing cottages, which offer guests fully self-contained cottages that offer modest but very comfortable levels of accommodation. The cabin are in a great location and for those wishing to wine and dine then they are in the perfect spot, as are just off the main street of Echoland, which is where many of Hakuba best restaurants, Japanese pub-izakayas, bar, cafés and other good shops can be easily accessed from. These self-contained cottages can cater from two to eight persons in either western styled rooms or you have the chance to use the more traditional styled Japanese futon bedding arrangements on tatami floors. They are well set up and offer Wi-Fi service throughout and have all of the facilities you need so that you can self-cater your holiday in Hakuba. There are six cottages in total and there are two types of cottages which range in size from 64㎡~70㎡:4 Cottages with 2 rooms with twin beds & a loft area with futon bedding and 2 Cottages with 2 rooms with 2 beds + room with 2 or 3 beds options. The Hakuba Meteor and Brownie property group is run by a lovely Japanese family who live and have a pension styled property right next-door to the Brownie Cottages. Mr. Fukushima, the owner, has set up a great concierge office there where customers can come by and you can arrange all of your Hakuba tours, restaurant reservations, pick up great advice or just hand and chill in their lounge area. They have a complimentary shuttle bus which they operate and drive customers to and from supermarkets, do drops-offs and pick-ups from nearby ski resorts and also provide bus and train station pick up and drop off services. Other than this, the Brownie Cottages are very nearby to local bus stops which also run shuttles throughout the day to many of the other ski resorts in the Hakuba Valley. Each of the Brownie Cottages has lounge area with underfloor heating, TV, Telephone, Fridge, Hairdryer, Kitchen, Microwave & Toaster Oven, and Cookware, Tableware sets, Ensuite Bathroom, Towels, All Bedding provided and the cottages are approximately 65 meters squared. The kitchens also have everything you will need, with hotplates, microwave, rice cookers, oven toaster and fridge. All cutlery, plates and glasses are well provided for, too. Breakfast and dinner can also be arranged in the Mr. Fukushima's pension next door for some of the nights if you would like to dine locally within the grounds or there is also one of Hakuba's most popular pubs just down the road called the Cherry Pub, where here they have a great bar and Texan styled menu and karaoke rooms upstairs.
