It’s easy to see why this resort has long been a favourite with locals, only a two-hour drive from Denver Copper Mountain provides access to 2,465 acres of skiable terrain and a relaxed, friendly village that feels like home the minute you arrive.
The naturally divided terrain starts out with gentle, sloping runs on the west and gets progressively steeper as you head east and there are several wide-open bowls for advanced skiers and riders. One of our favourite attractions is Woodward Copper, an indoor training facility for skiing and snowboarding with trampolines and foam pits to test out new tricks.
Copper Mountain is one of the more affordable resorts in Colorado, great if you’re looking to plan a ski holiday on a tighter budget. Copper Mountain can act as an affordable base when visiting more expensive neighbouring resorts such as Vail, Beaver Creek and Breckenridge.
