Mammoth Mountain is just that – mammoth! With over 3,500 acres of epic terrain, the highest altitude of all California resorts, Mammoth Mountain is one of the biggest and best in California.
This resort boasts one of the longest seasons in North America, typically beginning in November and ending in June/July. Add plenty of bluebird days and over 10 m of snowfall a season and it’s easy to see why Mammoth is so popular.

How to get there
Fly
The closest airport to Mammoth Mountain is The Mammoth Yosemite Airport, only 12.5km from the town of Mammoth Lakes. There are no direct flights from Australia, the best route is to fly to Los Angeles (LAX), a 12-15 hour flight, and then on to Mammoth Yosemite Airport. Once in Mammoth you won't need a car as everything is within walking distance or accessible be free shuttle. Some hotels offer free airport pick-up, alternatively airport transfers are available.
