WENGEN
About Wengen
Located in the Bernese Oberland and sharing a ski area with Grindelwald, Wengen is a calm, car-free village located on a wind-protected sunny terrace.
The picture-postcard village is peppered with traditional Swiss timber houses and chalets from the belle époque era. It is quite the romantic location for anyone looking to enjoy ambience from a previous time period while cosying up by the fireplace.
Ideal for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of larger or busier ski resorts, Wengen is a great winter playground for families and snow-sport newbies thanks to its gentle nursery slopes in the village centre.
It is also home to the awe-inspiring Trümmelbach Falls, the world’s only glacier waterfalls and an impressive sledding track that attracts just as many people as the ski area.
