Wanaka is home to two ski areas, Treble Cone and Cardrona. Treble Cone holds some impressive titles; it is the largest ski area in the South Island and boasts the longest vertical rise. Treble Cone’s longest run is a thigh burning 4km! With uncrowded groomed runs and challenging off-piste skiing, there is a lot to love about Treble Cone. The Snow Play area is new for 2017 and acts a great base for families heading up the slopes for the first time.
Cardrona is a relaxed and friendly ski area that is renowned for pristine groomers, wide-open beginner trails and impressive terrain parks - we’re talking Olympic level, Cardrona is where some of the best come to train!
