KICKING HORSE

Kicking Horse

This resort has dry champagne powder – and plenty of it! Kicking Horse is a thrill seekers nirvana with a 1260km vertical drop and uncrowded powder turns. It caters to beginners with gentle green runs but will test even the most seasoned skiers and boarders with more double black diamond runs than any other grade.

Kicking Horse has an authentic village vibe and boasts Canada’s highest elevated dining experience at the top of Eagle’s Eye Express Gondola. What’s not to love about this unique ski resort?

How to get there

Fly

The closest airport is Calgary. When flying from Australia one stopover is required, the fastest route is to Vancouver (YVR) and then onto Calgary (YYC).  Flight time is approximately 14 hours to Vancouver and 1h 20mins from Vancouver to Calgary. Vancouver makes a great stopover, we love spending a couple of days exploring the city before heading to the slopes.
